Tom Murad

In 2010, he joined Siemens Canada and continued in various roles including his latest one as Country Lead (VP) of Engineering, Technical Excellence & Academics.

As a Catholic boy and educated in Catholic school systems, Dr. Murad is passionate about the importance of the Separate School system

Since 2019, Tom has been appointed by the Ontario Minister of Universities and Colleges as a Board member of the (PEQAB) Post-Secondary Education Quality Assessment Board and is serving in this position until 2028

IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineering) Canada immediate Past President & Chair of the Board of Directors.

Supporting Catholic faith based curriculum.

Tom will support initiatives that improve student outcomes, managing priorities within available fiscal budgets while Oakville continues to grow.

Equitable funding should be available for all schools in Halton. The Catholic schools should be treated the same as the public schools for all students to reach their full potential.

Tom will be a voice for Oakville schools that need funding for facilities and infrastructure to improve education delivery in a safe, inclusive and well maintained environment.

I commit the time to listen, understand and represent the needs of parents, caregivers, students, teachers and community stakeholders through open communication channels.

Respectful collaboration with Teachers and Staff is a high priority.
